The management and sales force at Colgate-Palmolive get a complete overview with a cloud-based solution
With CatMan®Solution our regional sales managers and sales consultants gets an incredibly good overview of sales out of the stores in Danish Supermarket, COOP and Supergros.
Each sales consultants will soon begin to receive weekly-customized KPI’s focusing on their own area of responsibilities mailed to them in PDF documents. It gives them, automatically, a factual base for working more effectively with the shops and the categories / SKU’s, which need extra attention, says Torben Hallengren.
He is national sales manager at Colgate-Palmolive Denmark, which over the years has analysed the POS data from Danish Supermarket with the cloud-based business intelligence solution CatMan®Solution. Among other things, to provide an overview of consumer purchasing patterns based on actual, live and direct comparable data over such. ‘Sales per 1,000 customers’.
In early 2013 Colgate decided to extend the use to include co- operation with COOP and SuperGros, (two of the mayor payers in Denmark) and today Colgate gives the sales team on line access to CatMan®Solution.
– Catman@Solution is not the cheapest solution on the market, but, in my opinion, by far the best, most user-friendly and the one who gives the most consistent data extraction without the need for post-processing in Excel. However, all reports can be exported to Excel or PDF. It is of great value for us and for our cooperation at banner and store level, explains Torben Hallengren.
He adds that the system contains many predefined report types; it is also easy to use without special IT expertise. The sales consultants are “in operation” after just one hour of instruction.
The easily become self-reliant in “analysing” opportunities. On own accord they are pulling store data and look for correlations and KPI’s that could help them in their daily work.
It is a great advantage that the solution is cloud-based, and you can use it from any device. It is, for example. Useful if you just need to check some data in the store. If you make a mistake, you close the computer and start again; it’s a lot easier than if you inadvertently change in an Excel sheet says Torben Hallengren.
